The Shoreline Condos Fire - January 30, 2009
Dispatch received a call for the fire at 5:35 am on January 30, 2009. The Grand Lake Fire Protection District, East Grand Fire Protection District No. 4, Grand Fire Protection District No. 1/Granby and the Hot Sulphur Springs Fire Department all responded. In addition, EMS and Grand County Sheriff's deputies were on hand to help.
The fire started in Units 9 and 10 and spread to 6 adjoining units. The fire was declared under control by 12:15 pm. Members of the Grand Lake Fire Protection District stayed on site through the rest of the day and the night and did not leave til 9 am the next morning to ensure the safety of the site.
