Grand Lake Fire designs and implements training programs through which our Department members obtain and maintain the skills necessary to provide the safest and most effective emergency services to the community of Grand Lake.
We have a Fire & Emergency Services Explorer program open to 14-18 year olds who are interested in learning more about careers in Fire & Emergency Services. This hands-on program allows participants to gain experience in a variety of fire and emergency services, trainings, leadership opportunities, and community service activities. Our primary goal with this program is to assist young adults with choosing a career path within fire and emergency services and to challenge them to become responsible citizens of their communities. Explorers gain firsthand experience in what it’s like to be a volunteer or full-time firefighter & emergency services provider through training and responding to actual emergency calls. Please call the station at 970-627-8428 or stop in at the station.
Our Department trainings are open to the public. If you are interested in observing what we do or interested in volunteering, please feel free to come to a training. Dinner is at 6 p.m. Training begins at 6:30 p.m.
