2017 Work Capacity Test for Wildland Red Card

Each year our wildland firefighters must recertify their Red Card to fight wildland fires.  These men and women must go through class room training, a field day, and they must do a Work Capacity test, which is a 3 mile walk (no running) carrying a 45 lb pack in 46:30 or under at our higher elevation. (we get an extra 1:30 for elevation).  This is our Spring training.  We work hard for the people of our district.
