Community Events

Grand Lake Fire participates in many community events throughout the year. We love showing off our fire trucks and our boat.

You can see us in parades, helping out on the lakes with July 4th fireworks or races, or hosting the Easter egg hunt, and giving rides with Santa.

We always enjoy the opportunity to support our residents and show you what a great Fire department we have.

Easter Egg Hunt

Grand Lake Fire Protection District is proud to host an annual community Easter egg hunt with the help of local businesses.

Each year, the Staff and Members of Grand Lake Fire color Easter eggs and hide them in the Town Park. We usually have about 50 kids show up for the hunt. Even with all dozens of eggs we hide, many in plain site, the hunt is usually over in about 10-15 minutes.  It is a joy to watch.

We are very thankful for the support of local business who donate dozens of eggs.

Special thanks goes to the Blue Water Bakery, Sagebrush Restaurant, Grand Lake Men’s Club, and Circle 3 Food Market for all the donations in 2015 that made the event possible.

Santa Rides

Sleigh bells ring, are you listenin’…or maybe that’s the bells on our Fire engines.

Every December, Grand Lake Fire offers fire truck rides with Santa.  From Town Park, residents and visitors alike can hop into one of our Fire trucks, usually E371 or our Aerial L362, for a drive around town.  Sparky is usually on hand too for photo opportunities.

If you are in town during the holiday season, check out our calendar or call the station to find out when Santa Truck rides are scheduled and make sure to come by to see us.
